Executive Director, Diversity and Corporate Responsibility
Latoria J. Farmer is the Executive Director of Diversity and Corporate Responsibility for KPMG LLP and is responsible for leveraging diversity to enhance the firm’s strategic business results. She is a leader with more than 15 years of human resource and business experience, and has helped to develop and implement a suite of talent management programs, performance management systems, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Tori executes enterprise-wide strategic imperatives and helps to lead KPMG’s Diversity Advisory Board which advises the Management Committee and Board of Directors on the firm’s diversity strategy and objectives, and opportunities to integrate diversity and inclusion into the overall business strategy. Her work supports the continual progress toward recruiting, retention and advancement of a diverse team of professionals and helps to align the activities of more than 120 locally-driven employee resource groups with the firm’s priorities.
Previously a workplace solutions manager, Tori has worked on Employer of Choice priorities including work life effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, mentoring and sponsorship, training, and corporate citizenship outreach. As an HR specialist, she provided counsel on HR policies and procedures as well as assisted business leaders with strategic decisions involving talent acquisition, performance management and career development plans, employee relations, training, benefits and compensation, and compliance driven initiatives.
Prior to joining KPMG, Tori was an HR generalist with regional responsibility for the total talent management process from onboarding to retirement, in addition to operations and providing assistance during mergers and acquisitions.
Tori is involved with numerous professional and civic organizations such as Society for Human Resource Management, the Conference Board’s Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council, Ladder Up -Tax Assistance Program, Junior Achievement, and Chicago Cares.
In 2007, Tori received KPMG’s national Chairman’s Award for Excellence in Volunteerism and the 2013 local Chairman’s Award for High Performance. She was also recognized by the Anti Defamation League as a 2010 Rising Star.
