Global Retirement Design Manager
Julie Wirt is the Global Retirement Design Manager for Intel Corporation. In this role she brings nearly 20 years of experience in Compensation/Benefits and Finance to leading an organization responsible for the design and compliance of all of Intel’s worldwide retirement programs. Julie’s responsibilities include managing Intel’s regional retirement plans and benefits for over 80,000 employees.
Julie’s current work is focused on reshaping how corporations can partner with their employees and prepare them for the transition into retirement. With today’s population living longer, retirement is often an opportunity for retirees to participate in an encore career, providing them with purpose and impact in their retirement years. Julie’s team is leading innovative thought in how to educate and engage employees to consider and prepare for encore career opportunities as a crucial part of retirement preparedness.
Julie has presented her innovative work at conferences worldwide. She won Intel’s highest internal recognition, the Intel Achievement Award, for the redesign of the US Retirement plans which significantly improved Intel employees’ financial preparedness for retirement. Prior to her current role Julie led Intel’s Labor Cost efforts, managed Intel’s Compensation and Benefits Consulting Group supporting R&D organizations and held various financial management roles at Intel. Previous to Intel she worked in the accounting profession at various Silicon Valley start-ups. Julie holds a BS in Accounting.
