Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Jim Ellinghausen is Executive Vice President, Human Resources for PulteGroup, Inc. He oversees all of PulteGroup’s human resources, people development, diversity and recruitment initiatives. The Company employs 4,700 team members across the United States.
Mr. Ellinghausen joined PulteGroup in April 2005 as Senior Vice President, Human Resources following seven years with Bristol Meyers Squibb (BMS.) Most recently he served as Head of Human Resources for BMS’s Worldwide Business and more than 40,000 global employees. Prior to BMS, Mr. Ellinghausen spent more than nine years with the Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo, where he began as an employee relations administrator in 1987 and rose to the position of Vice President, Human Resources for Hostess / Frito-Lay Canada.
In April 2009, Pulte Homes and Centex Corp. announced their respective boards of directors unanimously approved a definitive merger agreement. Mr. Ellinghausen served as Project Leader of the integration planning effort between the two organizations.
Mr. Ellinghausen received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and was a member of its men’s varsity basketball team. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association and played professional basketball in Europe for five years before returning to the U.S. in 1985.
