Director, Executive Compensation
Dan has over 17 years’ experience of advising companies on remuneration.
Since joining Towers Watson he has been appointed by the Remuneration Committees of companies including IMI, Berendsen, Bodycote and Barclays. While at New Bridge Street his clients included Standard Life, Whitbread, Severn Trent, Schroders, British Energy and the London Stock Exchange.
He advises Remuneration Committees and management on all aspects of executive remuneration, including the design of incentive arrangements. His previous client relationships tended to be very long and he thinks that the principal reason for this is his ability to devise innovative and bespoke solutions that address the specific goals and challenges of his clients.
Dan is well known within the investor community and frequently assists Chairmen and Chairmen of Remuneration Committees in consulting with investors and their representative bodies.
Dan’s expertise extends to the design and implementation of global all-employee share plans. An example is an employee stock award plan for a Swiss headquartered company which is operated in over 90 countries.
