Joan has been a professional coach for nearly 20 years, and for ten of them ran an executive coaching practice that became international in scope. She holds both an MBA and an MA in human resource management. She is a founding member of ICF, the International Coach Federation, and holds their highest level of individual accreditation, the Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential.
As a member of EY’s Americas Executive Coaching Team, Joan is based in the New York office and supports the Northeast region of the United States. She works with new partners as they make the transition from senior manager to partner as well as partners new to the firm and more senior members of the partnership. She also trains EY people in coaching skills. Joan’s prior experience includes working with executives at Fortune 500 companies in a variety of industries including banking and financial services, publishing, health care, grocery, manufacturing and technology. Focal issues have included the transition of leaders newly promoted to senior level positions, particularly women leaders in male-dominated organizations, leadership competency development based on 360 and other feedback instruments, leadership effectiveness, executive presence and leading change.
