The Conference Board
A qualified lawyer, accountant and treasurer Aileen has strong international, project and risk management skills plus board level operational, financial and governance experience. She has spent most of her career in corporate treasury in large multi-nationals (including Petrofina, Gallaher and Avery Dennison) with responsibility for global banking relationships, negotiation of all credit lines, FX risk management, financing of acquisitions and world wide projects including those in less developed and hyper inflationary countries. After leaving full time employment she took on part time consultancy roles including Finance Director of a new start up and property management for a family company. She joined the Board of Whiteley Homes in 2007 as non-executive Director, becoming Chair of the Finance Committee in 2010 and Chair of the Board in June 2012. As a member of The Two Percent Club, Network of Woman Chairs and Ernst & Young London’s Women’s Network Aileen is a keen advocate of increasing the number of female directors appointed to corporate boards.
