Madeline Halperin-Robinson uses social media and websites to build support for social causes and nonprofit organizations. Currently Lead Consultant for The Allstate Foundation’s Domestic Violence Program, Madeline manages national grant portfolio of nearly $2 million. She also leads the organization’s domestic violence public awareness campaigns, like the award-winning Purple Purse, to engage people in an open, national conversation about the issue. Prior to joining The Allstate Foundation, Madeline worked with a variety of women-focused nonprofits including Legal Momentum, the nation’s oldest women’s legal advocacy organization, where she created and implemented the group’s first online communications strategy. Madeline has helped launch successful online and in-person projects that inspire young women to work for change including the Real Hot 100 and Girls in Government. As a United Way Senior Fellow, she earned a masters degree in public administration with a focus on nonprofit management from Baruch College. She received her BA with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Madeline lives in Chicago with her husband and too many internet-enabled devices.
