Karen Fowler-Williams serves as vice president of Employee Relations for Lincoln Financial Group. In this role, Fowler-Williams oversees HR policy development, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance and risk management, the Employee Engagement Survey, tuition reimbursement, recognition and other employee programs. She is also a member of the HR leadership team responsible for HR governance enterprise-wide.
Prior to this role, Fowler-Williams was assistant vice president for diversity initiatives and director of EEO strategy. Earlier in her career at Lincoln Financial, she was HR Director for Lincoln National Life and Lincoln’s Employee Benefits division. She began her Lincoln Financial career in 1989 after serving as the Executive Assistant for Minority Affairs for the Governor of Indiana and Executive Director of the Indiana Civil Rights Commission throughout the 1980s.
Fowler-Williams earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in addition to an Associate’s degree in Mental Health Technology at Purdue University. She is a member of the LOMA Diversity Council, The Conference Board Diversity & Inclusion Council and the Society for Human Resource Management.
