Dottie Brienza

Ms. Brienza joined Hilton Worldwide on March 1, 2010 as senior vice president of Global Talent Management. In her role, Ms. Brienza is responsible for the overall strategy for Talent Management globally across Hilton Worldwide, including programs, processes, policies and systems for Recruiting, College & University Relations, Diversity & Inclusion, EEO/ Affirmative Action, Executive and Leadership Development, Coaching, Performance Management, Succession Planning, and Learning. Learning encompasses all training and education, delivered via a blended learning solution, for team members across Hilton Worldwide globally by way of Hilton WW University, which is comprised of 5 colleges: Hotel, Owners, Commercial, Leadership (including the GM School) and College of General Studies (including the School of Management). Ms. Brienza joined Hilton Worldwide from Johnson & Johnson, where she gained almost 20 years of experience, in Human Resources, Organization Development & Change Management, and Sales, most recently as corporate vice president, Human Resources, Change, Communications & Education. In that role, she spearheaded the development of the company’s global HR service delivery model including improvement of their talent management processes. Ms. Brienza also was vice president of HR- Change Management for Johnson & Johnson’s $17 billion acquisition and integration of the Pfizer Consumer Healthcare business, the largest acquisition in Johnson & Johnson’s 120-year history. Previously, Ms. Brienza was the worldwide vice president of Ethicon, Inc., a $3.5 billion medical device division of Johnson & Johnson. Ms. Brienza previously worked for Honeywell Inc. as their corporate vice president of Talent Management & Organization Development, for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation as vice president Organization & Leadership Development, and for Hoechst Roussel Pharmaceuticals, a division of Hoechst AG. Ms. Brienza has also been an adjunct and guest lecturer at Columbia University School of Business in New York City, and at Rutgers University, School of Applied & Professional Psychology, New Brunswick, NJ. Ms. Brienza has executive leadership experience in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, medical devices, aerospace, safety and hospitality industries, with expertise in strategy, sales, human capital management, M&A, organization development, large scale change leadership, talent management and leadership development. Ms. Brienza earned a Master of Science degree in Organization Development from American University in Washington, D.C., certification in Executive Leadership from the Harvard Business School- Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Psychology and Communications from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Ms. Brienza also serves on the Board of Directors of Greater DC Cares, the leading and largest coordinator of volunteerism in the region, with more than 750 non profits, 24,000 volunteerism, and a host of corporate and foundation partners to mobilize volunteers across the region.
