Stephanie Quappe leads Deloitte’s Global Diversity and Inclusion initiative at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited. Under her leadership, the Global Council for the Advancement and Retention of Women (GROW) has drawn on existing best practices throughout the Deloitte member firm network to develop a suite of gender diversity tools, guidelines and learning solutions aimed at diversity practitioners. As a result, the number of member firm initiatives has doubled and representation of women in leadership positions has increased to 20% globally in 2010. In a Global Diversity and Inclusion Community of Practice, Deloitte member firms share best practices and collaborate on topics of interest across all diversity dimensions, including multiple generations in the workforce, LGBT employees, and intercultural competence.
A German native, she previously worked with Deloitte Consulting in the US, had her own Consulting firm and brings more than 15 years of experience in organizational culture transformation, learning and development, and diversity management in Europe and the United States. Among other innovations, Stephanie designed Deloitte’s international peer coaching program (iBuddy) in the US and a mentoring program for young coaches and trainers for the Society for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research (Young SIETAR), where she served on the board.
Stephanie is an experienced trainer, speaker, and published author of a book on Intercultural Communication with Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and has published various articles about cultural awareness and organizational transformation.
Stephanie earned her MBA, and M.A. degrees in international business and economics in Germany (BUGH), France (Sorbonne), and the UK (Birmingham Business School) and is fluent in English, German, and French.
