Vice President & Chief Learning Officer
Raoul J. Buron is Vice President & Chief Learning Officer for Prudential Financial. In this role, he is the chief architect of learning and leadership development strategies that support the company's business groups and corporate functions. Buron leads a community of practice within Corporate Human Resources that oversees Prudential's learning management system and core curricula, the organizational development function, talent management and succession strategies, executive development, performance management, and the Chairman's Leadership Series.
Buron joined Prudential in February 2002 from the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in Colorado Springs, where he served as Global Group Director, Executive Feedback and Coaching. Prior to CCL, he distinguished himself as an outstanding aviator and officer in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, culminating in his assignment as Tenured Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the Air Force Academy. Buron holds a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences from the Air Force Academy, an MBA in General Management, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern California.
