With a background in science and business, Fisk is a passionate advocate for practical paths forward on sustainability issues that include reducing plastic waste, green energy, carbon reduction, green chemistry and ingredient transparency. He has been a strong advocate for greater plastic regulation, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) to improve recycling infrastructure, which he advocated for during a U.S. Senate hearing on EPR policies for consumer packaging in March 2024. Fisk remains a strong advocate for an ambitious global treaty to end plastic pollution despite the recent negotiations' outcome and believes a framework that can be built upon is critical to addressing this global issue.

Beyond sustainability, SC Johnson has spent over 60 years advancing insect science to fight mosquito borne diseases such as malaria, Zika and dengue. In August 2025, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced a policy recommendation for spatial repellents to be used as an innovative tool to help fight insect-borne diseases like malaria, strengthening confidence in SC Johnson Guardian™ and SC Johnson Mosquito Shield™, and further enabling SC Johnson to deploy these insect-borne disease prevention tools to the world’s most vulnerable communities at a much larger scale.
