Gurpreet has significant HR experience across diverse industries including global financial institutions & telecommunication – in India and the Asia region for the past 12 years. She possesses a rare combination of a strategic mindset with the ability to be "hands-on" and has the stature and gravitas to operate at the highest level. Her outstanding stakeholder relationship management and negotiation skills enables her to lead diverse teams and drive the HR agenda in organisations.
A seasoned team player, experienced and comfortable in an international, matrix and multicultural operating environment – Gurpreet started her career in corporate finance and this has shaped her strong commercial focus while approaching various facets of HR including Talent, Leadership Development and Business Partnering. She has a unique ability to navigate and translate HR policies and use HR workforce analytics to arrive at practical solutions for business leaders.
While she is extremely comfortable in executing business strategy around leadership development, talent management and succession planning, her focus in the current dynamic environment is on organizational design aimed at agility, embed a culture that encourages flexible and empowered employees, develop workforce planning & synthesize information / data analytics to deliver outstanding results. Diversity and Inclusion is a subject she is passionate about and she continuously strives to create a corporate culture that lives these values critical for building a sustainable organisation.
Gurpreet is also a qualified ICF Accredited Executive Coach since the past 8 years and continues to coach senior leaders within and external to Generali. In addition, she has recently received the diploma for the Financial Times Non Executive Director program and is looking forward to contributing to non profit organisations more actively.
