Gopitha Tharmalingam, C.A., is a global finance executive recognized for driving strategic, operational, and organizational transformation across world-class technology companies. With deep experience spanning SaaS, software, hardware, and hybrid business models, she has built a career as a trusted partner to C-suite leaders in sales, services, marketing, and R&D. Her expertise includes long-range planning, enterprise forecasting, margin optimization, M&A integration, and the development of predictive and AI-driven financial systems.

Gopitha currently serves as Senior Vice President of Finance at Veeam, where she is leading the reinvention of the finance function in preparation for the company’s next stage of growth. Her portfolio includes rebuilding planning systems, establishing public-company-ready financial cadences, and engaging with auditors, advisors, and bankers on IPO planning and financial narrative development. She also guides high-impact strategic initiatives—from evaluating new ventures and product pricing strategies to assessing acquisitions and building new revenue-generating practices.

Before joining Veeam, Gopitha held several senior roles at Adobe, most recently as Vice President of Finance for Worldwide Enterprise Go-to-Market. There, she partnered closely with the Chief Revenue Officer to shape enterprise financial strategy, define cross-functional KPIs, drive forecasting discipline, and optimize investment across key sales motions. Prior to Adobe, she served in leadership roles with VMware, Tesla, Workday, and Cisco, where she repeatedly transformed financial planning processes, improved forecasting accuracy, enhanced pricing strategies, and built high-performing global teams. Her earlier career included foundational work in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and audit with Ernst & Young and PwC.

A chartered accountant (Ontario) and graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Masters and Honors Accounting program, Gopitha brings a rare blend of analytical insight, operational depth, and cross-functional leadership. Beyond her corporate work, she has also performed as the lead female classical dancer with the Janak Khendry Dance Company—reflecting a lifelong commitment to discipline, creativity, and cultural expression.
