Gil Mermelstein is Chief Executive Officer and a Board Member at West Monroe. With over 25 years of experience in the consulting industry, Gil has worked with businesses in the early stages of their development to Fortune 500 corporations, focusing on innovation in digital and data-driven strategies.

Gil joined West Monroe in 2010 to launch the New York City office and grew it into one of the firm’s largest. He also provided early leadership for the Financial Services practice—one of the firm’s core industries—achieving exponential growth. He joined West Monroe’s Board of Directors in 2011 and became East Coast Region Lead in 2022, taking on enterprise-wide leadership to culminate in roles as COO and President before becoming CEO this year.

Earlier in his career, Gil advised and operated with A.T. Kearney before leading strategy and transformation at MBNA, helping design Bank of America’s $35 billion acquisition. Gil joined West Monroe from BearingPoint Europe, where he led the firm’s take-private in a managed buy out.

Gil holds a B.S. from the University of Maryland and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He has been a long-standing participant in West Monroe’s governance and a public voice for modern forms of employee ownership. He is also a member of the Partnership for New York City.
