Falguni Desai is a corporate strategy leader with more than 25 years of global experience in the banking, trading, capital markets, financial market data and fintech sectors.  Her work spans across classic corporate strategy planning, acquisitions, new market entry, cost restructuring, transformation and change management.  She consistently drives impact and value creation by pairing strategy with execution.

At Microsoft, Falguni is Managing Director, Senior Advisor in the Banking & Capital Markets sector.  She works with business leaders at banks to leverage the power of cloud and AI platforms to drive innovation, efficiency, improved customer experience and business growth.  Prior to this, Falguni was the Global Head of Strategy & Transformation for the Investment Banking Equities division at Credit Suisse. In this role, she worked with the CIO and leadership team to drive modernization, operating model changes, cost efficiencies and talent upskilling across the front office.

Previously, Falguni was Managing Director of Strategy & Growth at BDO, where she led expansion and go-to-market plays aimed at the banking, asset management and sovereign wealth sectors. In this role she worked with the Americas Consulting Leader, to expand the reach of the AML, forensics and fraud investigation practices. 

Falguni spent over a decade at Thomson Reuters in several global business strategy and corporate development roles working with business unit leaders. During her tenure, she led new market entry, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, divestitures, post-merger integration and APAC market development. Falguni started her career as an M&A investment banker and consultant working at Deloitte, BNP Paribas and IBM.

As an author her work has appeared in over 75 articles with business media such as Forbes, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and Business Insider. She has been a panelist and keynote at events, including American Bankers Association, Bank Director and Money 2020.

She holds a CFA in ESG Investing certification and has passed the FINRA SIE. Falguni graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics.
