Ekin Ergün Björstedt is the Secretary General of Global Child Forum, an independent foundation initiated by the Swedish Royal Family to promote children's rights through responsible business. With over 20 years of leadership in sustainability, international development, and strategic partnerships, she has consistently championed systemic change to align business practices with the needs of a just and sustainable future that also future proofs business operations.

Before joining Global Child Forum, Ekin served as Chief Development Officer at Save the Children Sweden, where she led innovative financing strategies and multi-sector partnerships. Her previous roles include Sweden’s Trade Commissioner to Turkey, Central Asia and Caucasus, Project Director of Sustainability and Code of Conduct at TeliaSonera, and Head of External Relations at Stockholm University.

Ekin has a long track record of challenging and supporting businesses to rethink their role in society—embedding children’s rights, ESG principles, and long-term resilience into corporate strategies. She holds an MBA from Stockholm University and currently serves as Board Member of the Ethical Trade Initiative.
