Doug Lowther

Doug Lowther is an experienced CEO and Director, having led businesses in telecoms, satellite technology, video entertainment, and cybersecurity.  Doug thinks and operates globally, having lived and worked in Canada, France, Singapore, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and China. 

Most recently, Doug served for eleven years as CEO at Irdeto, a global provider of cybersecurity solutions based in the Netherlands.  During this period, the company more than doubled its market share and launched businesses in new industry verticals. 

As a non-executive director and board advisor, Doug has helped companies navigate challenges involving cybersecurity, technology disruption, and geopolitical risk.  Doug has substantial experience in strategic projects, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.  An experienced coach and mentor, Doug has sponsored talent development programs and built high-performance teams on a global basis. 

Doug holds a board director diploma and an executive MBA from IMD International (where he graduated as valedictorian), and a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Manitoba.
