He is most widely recognized for his work on how people perceive themselves and others, particularly within the context of interpersonal relationships and social judgments. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and is frequently cited in major psychology textbooks. Dr. Lopez also has specialized training in the development and psychometric validation of multilingual survey instruments. He has served as a Methodological Consultant & Grant Reviewer for State and Federal Agencies, including the Dept. of the Navy, US Depts of Education and Health & Human Services. He currently serves as the SVP of Systems Research at Strategia Analytics, LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in bridging the gap between high-level business strategy and daily operational execution.
