David Calder serves as Senior Counsel, Executive Compensation and HR Transactions, for 3M Company, a diversified technology company with over 90,000 employees. In this role, he provides legal advice to the Compensation Committee of 3M’s Board of Directors on the full range of executive and other compensation matters, including 3M’s incentive compensation arrangements.
Prior to joining 3M in March 2015, David worked at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he counseled clients on compensation and benefits matters, including equity and incentive compensation, nonqualified deferred compensation, employment, retention and severance arrangements, ERISA compliance and qualified retirement plans. He also provided compensation and benefits advice on mergers and acquisitions, including matters pertaining to golden parachutes, executive retention and integration issues.
David earned a B.S. in accounting and finance from Indiana University and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
