Dan Wong

Dan Wong is a digital transformation and AI innovation leader with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations navigate successive waves of disruption across Greater China, Asia, and Silicon Valley.

At Nokia, he led the shift from feature phones to smartphones while running a $1.9 billion business. He later helped drive Samsung’s transition from hardware to software and, as General Manager of Global Innovation at MTR Corporation, oversaw the deployment of more than 30 AI projects.

Dan was also the first CEO of Rokid in 2014, where he developed award-winning voice recognition and smart home technologies, and later served as CEO of GIFT.ed, using technology to scale courseware and employee engagement.

Across industries, use cases, and geographies, he has directly deployed more than 40 AI initiatives, giving him rare insight into both the power and the limitations of AI and into the human side of change required to turn new technology into business impact. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai School of Business, where he teaches popular MBA courses on AI, product management, and product innovation.

Fluent in Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Dan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and both a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Materials Science from Stanford University.
