Dan Byrne is the Associate Vice President of CMH (Cardiometabolic Health) Customer Capabilities at Eli Lilly and Company. In this capacity, Dan focuses on innovative approaches to supporting Cardiometabolic diseases through employers and health systems. By understanding tensions and creating solutions with these customers, the team is creating positive experiences throughout the healthcare ecosystem: Including payers, health systems, healthcare providers, employers, and patients. 

Prior to this role, Dan held several roles at Eli Lilly. He worked closely with payers, health systems, pharmacies, and wholesalers to ensure patients have affordable access to Lilly’s Diabetes incretin portfolio. Other roles included promoting Lilly’s specialty medications as a leader of Lilly’s field reimbursement team, managing customer support programs, and several other roles within the value and access space. He is based in Indianapolis, IN, Lilly’s global and US headquarters.

Dan has been involved in a number of different Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion groups both inside and outside of Lilly. He was a board member for the IWL (Integrating Women Leaders) Foundation, a main stage speaker at a number of diversity conferences, a lead team member for Lilly’s Women’s organization, and the founding member of Men as Allies at Lilly.

Dan is surrounded at home by his wife, Danielle, and his two wonderful daughters.  He has a passion for patient experience and navigating the complexity of the healthcare system as he has taken on the role of caregiver in his family over the past few years.
