Dan Bird joined Boston Scientific in 1996. He has held several roles of increasing responsibility within BSC Human Resources up to and including VP, Global Total Rewards and HR Operations. He is currently the Director, Executive Compensation.

Dan provides leadership, direction, functional expertise and consultation for the design of competitive plans and programs for BSC's senior level employee total rewards programs including base, bonus, equity, recognition, executive benefits and perquisites as applicable. Dan is the Plan Administrator for BSC’s global stock program as well as the leader of BSC’s ongoing Pay Equity initiatives.

Dan has a MS degree in Human Resources from Golden Gate University, a BA degree in Social Psychology with a double minor in Business and Social Work from San Jose State University. He currently holds three credentials from the WorldatWork – CCP, CBP, and GRP.
