Bridget Doherty, MPH, MS, is Director of Access and Policy Research and the Center for U.S. Healthcare Policy Research at Johnson & Johnson. In this role, Bridget conducts novel above and across brand research on U.S. healthcare policies and the impact on patient outcomes and the healthcare ecosystem. Her focus areas include the FDA Accelerated Approval Program, state health policies including Upper Price Limits and Medicaid drug spending, and qualitative and quantitative patient-centered research on policy issues such as insurance design. Bridget spearheaded the first research project to quantify the patient-level impact of the FDA’s Accelerated Approval program in oncology, finding that the program has added an additional approximate 260,000 life years to oncology patients since 2006. Prior to this role, Bridget led global communications and public affairs for other J&J companies and conducted Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) policy analysis for GSK. She has an MPH from Drexel University and recently completed her Health Economics and Outcomes Research MS at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
