Ben is responsible for the Corporate Governance, Corporate and Securities Law, Investment Finance, Global Sustainability and Subsidiary and Records Management legal practices. He also serves as the point person for all board and committee meetings on behalf of the board of directors and senior leadership team. Additionally, Ben is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the company’s annual meeting and corporate governance related shareholder engagements throughout the year.

Ben began his legal career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. As a senior associate, he led teams that were focused on corporate governance and regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, and securities offerings.  He holds a JD and MBA from Santa Clara University and a BA from the University of Minnesota.

Ben currently serves on the National Board of the Society for Corporate Governance and as President of the Twin Cities Chapter.  He regularly speaks at regional and national corporate governance events. Ben also serves on the Board of the American Red Cross (Minnesota and Dakotas Region).
