April has been in the benefit space for over 20 years. She began her career at a large insurance carrier, working in the areas of life insurance, disability and leave management.  She then moved on to a benefit consulting role with a brokerage firm, working with clients of all sizes and various benefit needs to identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness of benefit programs.

She joined 3M in 2017 as an HR Benefits Specialist, managing the global benefits captive for over 60 countries, and also managed the U.S. life insurance and survivor programs.

Today, she is a member of the U.S. health care benefits team and serves in a variety of functions ranging from program strategy and design, communications, vendor management, and compliance for the health and welfare programs at 3M.

April holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She grew up in, and still lives in Minnesota, loves to travel, and in her free time, you can find her in a hockey arena or lacrosse field watching her three boys do what they love.
