Annie is currently Chair of the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of Vaxcyte, a clinical stage vaccine company.  She also serves as CHRO at Ascend Learning, a leading healthcare education and career success company.  She brings several decades of Human Resources, Strategy and Finance experience to this role.  She was previously Chief People Officer at Toast, a leading restaurant technology company. Prior to joining Toast, she was the Chief People Officer at Moderna, helping to scale the business as it expanded into multiple clinical stage programs across a range of modalities.  She also spent time as an Operating Partner at Bain Capital, helping to drive talent strategies across the private equity portfolio.  She’s been Chief People Officer at Iron Mountain, VistaPrint and Digitas, and started her career in Finance roles at JP Morgan and PepsiCo. 

Annie has written about leadership and building trust in organizations.  She is the co-author of the book The Trusted Leader, and has been published in the Harvard Business Review.

Annie earned an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University, where she serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees.  She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Posse Foundation.
