Dr. Amy Flaster became the Chief Medical Officer of The Cigna Group in November 2025. In this role, she leads the company's clinical strategy across both the Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth lines of business, advancing clinical excellence, introducing innovative care models, strengthening and growing clinical teams, and leveraging technology to enhance the customer and provider experience.

Prior to her role as Chief Medical Officer of The Cigna Group, Dr. Flaster was the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Cigna Healthcare, where she led the clinical strategy for the U.S. Employer and Individual and Family Plans businesses. She also partnered closely with the International Health business and worked across the organization to support the development of clinical solutions to drive improved value, quality, and health outcomes for our customers. 

Before joining Cigna, Dr. Flaster served as Chief Medical Officer at ConcertoCare, a national value-driven, home-based care provider organization, where she directed the clinical strategy and clinical product development. She previously oversaw population health at Health Catalyst, supporting providers and health plans across the U.S. in their transition to value-based care.  Prior to that, she held leadership roles at Mass General Brigham in Massachusetts, leading Medicare, Medicaid, and employee health initiatives.

Dr. Flaster earned both her M.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University and completed her Internal Medicine training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She continues to serve as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and is an Associate Physician in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where she practices primary care. Additionally, Dr. Flaster serves on the Board of Directors for The Cigna Group Foundation, guiding philanthropic efforts focused on community health and well-being.
