Vicky A. Bailey is former Assistant Secretary, Domestic Policy and International Affairs, U. S. Department of Energy from 2001-2004, and served as chair of several bilateral international working groups, as well as vice chair and U.S. representative to the Paris based International Energy Agency (IEA).
She currently serves as chair of United States Energy Association and principal of Anderson Stratton Enterprises LLC. From 2006-2013, she was equity partner of BHMM Energy Services, LLC. In 2000, she was president of Cinergy/PSI (now Duke Energy), the largest utility in Indiana. From 1993-2000, she was appointed as a Commissioner, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). From 1986-1993, she served as Commissioner, Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC). A native of Indianapolis, Bailey is a graduate and distinguished alumna of the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and graduated from the Advanced Management Program, The Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania.
Besides The Conference Board, she is also a board member of Occidental Petroleum, Equitrans Midstream, PNM Resources, Battelle Memorial Institute, Resources for the Future, and American Association of Blacks in Energy. She was appointed to the Presidential Commission for the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) and the Blue Ribbon Commission for America’s Nuclear Future. She serves on the National Petroleum Council and the Council on Foreign Relations.
