Udai is a business leader with 35 years of entrepreneurial business leadership across Asia Pacific – China, Japan, Korea, India, ANZ and ASEAN. He has lived and worked in India, Japan, China, Hong Kong and Singapore, and so possesses a first-hand, instinctive feel for the markets.

In 1991, Udai started his career with P&G, going on to work with them for about 21 years. This stint allowed Udai to get strong business experience across almost all Asian markets. Over a 21-year career with P&G, Udai lived and worked in India, Japan and PR China. As Vice-President of the Greater China Haircare business for P&G, he created a new, premium brand portfolio and revamped the go-to-market strategy, to double sales in 5 years.

After a successful stint with P&G, Udai joined Dyson as President for APAC in 2012and went to also be President for Europe. In 2018, Udai moved to Singapore as Managing Director, Beijing Hualian Group (BHG) Singapore. In 2022, joined SharkNinja as President for APAC. SharkNinja is a Boston-based home appliance company. It’s two brands – Shark and Ninja – are leaders in their respective market segments. In this role, he is responsible for launching and scaling the APAC business.

He holds an MBA (Finance and Marketing) from Xavier’s Labour Relations Institute in Jamshedpur, India, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Regional Engineering College in Bhopal, India.
