Tony Verbraeken

Tony is a global HR leader with a strong track record in directing people strategy and driving companywide transformational change. Tony spent over thirty years as a prominent HR Executive at Shell leading organic growth, integrations, turnarounds, and globalising businesses. In his last job at Shell, he led HR for Global Functions, India, The Netherlands, and the Shared Service Centres.

Since graduating from Shell at the end of 2024, Tony has set up his own boutique consultancy, Flowchangers Pte. Ltd., offering advisory services to organizations globally with its main customers in Asia and the Middle East. 

He acts as “sounding board”, “partner in change” and “mentor”, focusing on strengthening leadership impact and increasing business performance, especially during times of leadership transition. Starting with the current business context, assessing the challenges as well as the growth potential, he works closely with his customers to determine the trajectory to performance uplift. His work is grounded in deep knowledge of human capital enhancement, business transformation, and leadership development.

He is advising start-ups and acts as faculty for Senior Leadership Development programs. He is serving as a sought-after mentor to other CHROs and senior executives. Part of his time he dedicates to pro bono work for Bhutan and a music charity. 

Tony is results-driven, pragmatic and is known for his depth of HR and business experience. He has a strong track record of building high performance teams. He has lived and worked internationally for 18 years – in Latin America, South Africa, Thailand, the UK, and the USA.
