Nirav Vakharia, MD, serves as Chief Operating Officer at Marathon Health and is responsible for the clinical strategy and operations. Originally trained as a primary care physician, Nirav brings a wealth of experience in hands-on patient care and clinical operations, and is adept at leading clinicians and operators through change. Prior to Marathon he served as the Chief Medical Officer for Panoramic Health in Phoenix, where he was accountable for scaling clinical programs across 20 states focused on chronic disease management, integrated behavioral health, medication management, and end-of-life care. Other experiences include leading U.S. clinical operations for London-based Babylon Healthand administering population health services for the Medicine Institute.Nirav is the former President of the Cleveland Clinic’s Accountable Care Organization, where he led the health system’s development of its population health strategy to improve the clinical and financial outcomes for over 400,000 at-risk lives. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School, and completed training in internal medicine and a chief residency at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
