The following is a bio of a former employee/consultant

Nathalie Risse, PhD, is a Senior Researcher at The Conference Board, based in the ESG Center. Nathalie researches and writes on topics relating to sustainability.

Nathalie’s experience includes 17 years working on sustainable development and environmental policy with the United Nations and other international organizations including the OECD, the European Commission, and the award-winning think tank IISD (International Institute for Sustainable Development).

Nathalie’s background encompasses research, analysis and reporting, strategy development, managing and coordinating complex projects, fostering partnerships, and engaging in international affairs and diplomacy. Among other accomplishments, Nathalie spearheaded significant global United Nations processes that involved ministers and high-level officials. She also led or contributed to the production of flagship reports related to sustainable development for the United Nations and the private sector.

Nathalie holds a PhD in environmental management from the Free University of Brussels (ULB), a master’s degree in environmental sciences from the University of Quebec in Montreal, and a Sustainable Business Strategy Certificate from Harvard Business School.
