McKinley L. Price, DDS, is a Senior Fellow in the Human Capital Center at The Conference Board. He has over 40 years of experience in dentistry and healthcare, including serving on numerous healthcare-related boards and commissions.

In addition to establishing and leading his own dental practice, Dr. Price is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Virginia Dental Association. Recently retired, he chairs the board of Delta Dental of Virginia. He is President of the Old Dominion Dental Society. He served as Vice Chair of the board of Riverside Health. His community and board service include serving three terms as Mayor of the city of Newport News, Virginia and as President of the African American Mayors Association, an organization representing over 500 African American mayors across the United States. He currently serves on the board of the Mariner’s Museum and the Newport News Airport Commission. He is past chairman of the board of the Virginia Peninsula Community College and is a past member of the United States Conference of Mayors. He was appointed by Governor Mark Warner to the Virginia Economic Development Partnership Board. He has served on the Newport News city council and the school board. 

Dr. Price is a graduate of Hampton University (BS, Biology) and Howard University (DDS). He is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army and has received numerous awards and honors from professional and civic organizations for his professional and community service, including “Dentist of the Year” by the Old Dominion Dental Society and “Citizen of the Year” by the Daily Press newspaper.
