Lokesh Venkataswamy is a Design Thinker, CEO, and Managing Director at Innomantra, a leading digital, innovation, and intellectual property consulting organization,. With over 25 years of professional experience in Digital, Innovation, Intellectual Property, and New Product Management, Senior Fellow - The Conference Board, Lokesh brings a wealth of expertise to his role.

Prior to Innomantra, Lokesh managed innovation and intellectual property as part of strategic planning and initiatives at Larsen & Toubro (L&T), India. He started his career at L&T's Medical Equipment and Systems Group, where he spent 12 years in product design and development. At Innomantra, Lokesh has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies across diverse sectors such as Aviation, Automotive, Industrial Equipment Manufacturing, Information Technology, Retail, Engineering Services, Medical Electronics, and Consumer Goods. His areas of focus include Innovation, Design Thinking, Intellectual Property, and Digital Transformation with a special focus on Generative AI. Lokesh has also provided guidance to educational institutions, entrepreneurs, industry associations, and government agencies in these domains.

Lokesh has received several accolades throughout his career. He was the recipient of the India Innovation Challenge award in 2008 by the Government of Karnataka and Confederation of Indian Industry. He was also honored with a citation at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (UK) South Asia Conference and was recognized as one of the 50 Most Innovative Leaders at the World Innovation Congress in 2018. Lokesh actively supports startups through mentoring and investments and has served as a jury member for The Economic Times - Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad's 'Power of Ideas' competition in 2013, 2015, and 2018. He has been part of several winning teams in national innovation competitions and has worked on promising global innovation projects at Innomantra. Additionally, Lokesh serves as a board member of Technology Business Incubation, Innovation, and Research Councils in various universities and academic institutes. He is also an International Innovation Thought Leader for Global Minds Network in France.

Lokesh is a Senior Fellow at The Conference Board, USA, an active member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Chairman Emeritus of IET (UK) Bangalore Network. He is an Executive Council Member of the International Society of Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM) at the Indian Society for Quality-Bangalore Chapter. Lokesh is a convener at the BIS-TC 279 Committee of Innovation Management System ISO 56000 at the Bureau of Indian Standards and the International Organization for Standardization Innovation Working Group.

He co-authored a cover article titled "How Generative AI Can Augment Human Creativity" in the July-August 2023 issue of Harvard Business Review, Same featured in book Harvard Business Insights - “Generative AI” 2024 and also in their special annual issue on Generative AI, currently featuring as a best seller article.  He is also a co-inventor of a US Patent Application on Mnemonics For User-Interfaces In Digital Environments, filed in collaboration with the University of Missouri, United States (US 63/333,552, filed on July 16, 2021).
