Catarina Dolsten is a Senior Fellow, Human Capital at The Conference Board. She is the founder of the Aktum Group, a firm specializing in organizational assessments, leadership development, executive coaching, and change management. The Aktum Group and Aktum Insights survey were developed based on clients’ needs to rapidly identify, examine, and address key organizational strengths and problems in an efficient and specific approach.
Catarina partners with organizational leadership and HR teams to design and implement focused interventions that address problem areas and ensure organizational alignment. She is committed to a collaborative process with each leader and organization—identifying objectives, strategizing, and developing a roadmap for sustainable change implementation. Her solution-oriented approach reframes obstacles, bridges challenges, and involves all stakeholders in finding both short- and long-term solutions. Catarina’s perspective on coaching and organizational development consulting is grounded in a data-driven approach: assessment, awareness, intervention, and implementation. Prior to founding her consulting firm, Catarina developed and implemented programming within global health organizations to maximize operational efficiency on a global scale, coaching and leading teams to achieve tangible results within maternal and child health.
Catarina is a licensed Medical Doctor in Sweden with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and Economics from Lund University. She also holds a Master's in Organizational Psychology and Change Management from Teachers College at Columbia University and received her coaching certificate from New York University. She serves on the board of a non-for-profit organization building health facilities and developing management skills in rural clinics to improve health outcomes.
