Dr. Allyn M. Kaufmann is the Global R&D Lead for the Future Horizons Wellness, Digestive Health & Naturals Science and Technology team at Haleon Consumer Healthcare. In this role, Dr. Kaufmann leads upstream strategy, technology research, and evidence generation for supplement-based solutions impacting global brands such as Centrum and Caltrate, as well as regional brands like Benefiber and Emergen-C. Dr. Kaufmann earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2008) and a B.S. in Biochemistry (2003), both from the University of Kansas.

He began his career in Consumer Healthcare R&D at The Procter & Gamble Company, where he addressed product chemistry challenges and developed innovative products on brands like Vicks and Metamucil, resulting in multiple patents. Throughout his career—including his current work at Haleon—Dr. Kaufmann has built expertise across process and formulation, external innovation, technology development, information research, and business development. His contributions have directly supported over $1 billion in new product launches worldwide. Dr. Kaufmann currently resides in Virginia with his wife and five children.
