Following the success of Building a Culture of Wellness Research Working Group, this new RWG will focus on refining the established wellness program strategies to help companies gain a competitive advantage from employee wellness. By providing them with the right kind of support, employees become healthier and more engaged in their jobs, thereby leading to both improved productivity and health care cost savings. In order to be a part of this RWG, the organization's wellness program must in effect for a minimum of three years.
Methodology
- Three live meetings and two/three web casts in between will keep the members of the RWG informed and focused and will allow the Research Director to focus on the issues of common concern.
- Case studies (from member companies as well as other companies with successful wellness programs), survey of current practices from companies that have advanced beyond the first phase of wellness implementation, and meeting discussions, complemented by a literature review to be summarized by the researcher.
- Development of a "next steps" agenda for organizations already implementing wellness in their companies.
End of Group Deliverables
- The results of the research will be a report with the findings of the research team and will include a set of practical strategy frameworks, tactical applications, tools, and techniques that you can introduce and use in your organization to deliver strategic value.
- Applying the principles of effective wellness programs will greatly diminish the risks associated with these programs. Understanding the drivers and pitfalls of the new wellness programs will help organizations find better solutions to driving a wellness culture throughout their organization. It will assist the executives in assessing how wellness programs reduce health care costs and make and keep employees healthy.
- Have access to strategies, tools, and approaches to successfully implement wellness programs in your organization.
- Gain objective insights and a global perspective on key wellness issues.
