In a time of economic pressure and revolutionary change, businesses need to maximize human capital in ways that are good for business. To understand, anticipate, and respond to the demands of the marketplace, businesses need a fully engaged workforce. When employees acquire disabilities, however, full engagement is often a more complex matter that is stymied by insufficient coordination and programming efforts among businesses, community service providers, and employees.
