PART ONE: Creating Business Model Transformation… view details

02 March, 2012 | (01 hr)

More and more business leaders are expressing a need to reinvent or redesign their business models as a way to leapfrog competition and sustain a competitive edge. While there are lots of examples of how to redefine a compelling marketplace position, truly successful business model transformation is about organization design–designing and aligning the choices and systems of the organization to drive strategy and make the company’s business model a reality. This webcast series will address this dynamic topic in two sessions. The first session will focus on how to create an innovative business model. The second session will focus on how to build internal capabilities in organization design to help organizations implement and sustain business model changes. Both sessions will be headlined by leading organizations that are in the trenches redefining their business models and building internal capability to implement and sustain the transformation long-term.

Audience: Executives charged with leading or providing support to organization design or re-design initiatives within their companies, Change Leaders, Change Practitioners and anyone responsible for effecting change within a department or across an entire organization.

In fast changing markets, one of the most important capabilities an organization must develop is the ability to create a new business model. This first session will describe a proven three-step process to help business leaders translate strategy into new business models and then how to align the structures, people, processes, assets, and systems of the organization in ways that yield improved performance and sustainable change.

Specifically, this session will:

  • Help business leaders see and anticipate the problems that customers are trying to solve and how the logic of the business can be changed to solve those problems in new and innovative ways
  • Provide a simple, but powerful process along with tangible tools for driving business model transformation
  • Provide practical suggestions for how business leaders can guide an organization through business model change
  • Share examples of organizations that have achieved business model transformation by aligning structures, processes, people, systems, and assets
