Five years ago, The Conference Board published Creating a Competency Model for Diversity and Inclusion Practitioners, which identified seven competencies necessary for successful D&I professionals: change management; diversity, inclusion and a global perspective; business acumen; strategic external relations; integrity; visionary and strategic leadership; and HR disciplines. According to the panelists in this webcast, who were involved in the creation of the 2008 report, these competencies remain relevant today, but face a new environment of tighter budgets and heightened globalization.
