People spend more time on social networking sites and other Web 2.0 media than they do on any other type of website. Companies that want to increase productivity as well as manage their brands need to become part of the “social web.” Companies will become more efficient if they become Enterprise 2.0 organizations (i.e., companies that use Web 2.0 technology to meet business goals). Blogs, microblogs, and social networking platforms can help employees gather information faster and increase productivity. Enterprise 2.0 organizations rely on the collective wisdom of a network that allows everyone, regardless of their position, to contribute.
