We will take you beyond what was presented at The Conference Board's 2008 "Executive Coaching Seminars: Learning from Legends and Thought Leaders" presented at the Harvard Club in New York City this past Fall for a deep dive into the key issues and take away points of the presentation. We are bringing back Richard Leider live in our studio for an hour to zero-in on the video featuring presentation highlights which will be re-broadcast over the web. You will then have the opportunity to participate in a live interactive discussion, question and answer session and benchmarking with your peers.

In a world of accelerating and constant change, executives live with high levels of uncertainty as traditional sources of support — at home and at work — are compromised or missing. Enter coaching, but what is the coaching's purpose? No matter the coach's subspecialty, coaching from the "core" — personal motives, values, strengths, purpose and engagement — is the required operating system. Most known for his books on "purpose" in executive development including Something to Live For: Finding Your Way in the Second Half of Your Life Richard will discuss leadership, the importance of purpose and the purpose of coaching. He will help participants discover the power of coaching and explore why a more holistic approach is essential to the renewal and vitality of executives.

This program will feature five segments focusing on the following topics:

  • Introduction of to Purpose - the Power of Purpose
  • "What Makes You Get Out of Bed in the Morning?"
  • The Ultimate Leadership Challenge: Self Leadership
  • The Busyness of Business
  • The Annual Purpose Checkup
