The U.S. Safe Harbor is an agreement between the European Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce lets enables organizations show their compliance with the EU Data Protection Directive. This arrangement allows the transfer of personal data from EU countries to the U.S. in circumstances where the transfer would otherwise not meet the EU Data Protection Directive's adequacy test for privacy protection. This webcast shows participants the advantages and disadvantages of using the Safe Harbor as a legal method for transferring personal data.
