The Social Media Evolution
17 May, 2012 | (01 hr)
Many nonprofit organizations have dipped their toes into the set-me-free world of social media, but too many still have trepidations about taking full advantage of the toolset. "The Networked Nonprofit," a bestselling book by Allison Fine, provides a framework for nonprofits to help them overcome their fears of losing control and evolve to meet the informational and cultural needs of their communities. Allison will share ways that nonprofits are remaking themselves to operate more like social networks than traditional organizations, and provide specific suggestions for corporate funders to use and leverage their funding to take advantage of social media, leverage social networks and increase their impact.
