The Conference Board Senior Marketing Conference To Focus On Growth Through Value Creation

The Conference Board 2009 Senior Marketing Executive Conference will examine how to deliver on brand promise through organizational structure and choices. It will offer a roadmap for CMOs and CEOs to innovate and lead in this challenging economy.
The conference, presented with strategic partners Forbes, LinkedIn, and Weber Shandwick, will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Battery Park, New York, November 10-11.
The opening session, "Understanding the Business, Political and Economic Playing Field," will feature Steve Forbes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Forbes, and Bart van Ark, Chief Economist of The Conference Board.
Tim and Nina Zagat, Co-Founders and Co-Chairs of the Zagat Survey, will present "Building a Brand Case Study."
"Social Media and Traditional Marketing & Anticipating Digital Body Language" will be addressed by Stephen C. Jones, Former Chief Marketing Officer, The Coca-Cola Company, Chief Executive Officer, Jones Soda, and Richard S. Braddock, Former Chief Executive Officer, Priceline.com, Chief Executive Officer, FreshDirect.
Michael J. Critelli, Recently-Retired Chairman and CEO, Pitney Bowes, will discuss connecting marketing to CEO strategy.
Critelli will also join Bruce Himelstein, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co., and Richard Owen, CEO, Satmetrix and co-author of Answering the Ultimate Question, to discuss "Your Brand in the Hands of Your Customers."
"Creating Value in a Shifting Environment" will be examined by Larry Ackerman, Founder and President, The Identity Circle, and Mary Garrett, Vice President, Marketing and Communications Global Sales and Distribution, IBM.
"The Big Shift—The New Marketing Mix" will feature David Griffith, Managing Director, teamDigital, Tom Boland, Director of Interactive Marketing, World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., Barry Herstein, CMO, PayPal, Meredith Stark, Executive Producer, CNBC.com, and Sarah Baehr, National Media Discipline Lead, Razorfish.
Patrick Crane, Vice President, Marketing, LinkedIn, will present "The Role of the Internet and Relationships in Business Success."
