This report presents the results of a survey of more than 300 senior human resource and senior training and development executives, and of the deliberations of a Conference Board Working Group. Most executives agree on the major current training issues and activities, as well as on future trends in the growing value of training. Among the issues explored are how to address the top priority of aligning training with corporate goals, how to measure the value of training, and how to reengineer the training function in an era of employability, high technology, and outsourcing.
