In the 2005 Conference Board CEO Challenge survey, mid-market executives rated the cost of employee healthcare benefits as their fifth greatest concern. Given this level of interest, it is not surprising that many mid-market firms are already experimenting with innovative alternatives to standard healthcare delivery as a way to keep expenses in line. This report explores a few of these new options through the experiences of five mid-market companies.
