Vets Returning to the Workforce

Employers have a talent shortage, particularly in technical fields. Returning veterans are an often overlooked talent pool that offers a gold mine of technical and applied skills, particularly in the areas of teamwork and leadership, that can help organizations meet their business needs. Yet, employers and veterans are having a difficult time finding each other. Employers can successfully hire veterans if they know where to find vets, learn how to translate a veteran’s resume, can read between the lines during a job interview, and realize that not all veterans have PTSD. This report provides information to help organizations hire veterans.
