Women's Leadership Conference KeyNotes Report

Companies with more women at senior levels perform better. Yet inequality at the top remains entrenched. Are women holding themselves back when they should be “leaning in,” as Sheryl Sandberg suggests? Or, as Anne Marie Slaughter counters, is it the responsibility of organizations to create more opportunities for the advancement of women and work/ life integration? Clearly, it’s not possible to “have it all” the way we work now. Conference participants took a two-pronged approach to the issue of the representation of women in leadership positions by considering how to advocate for institutional change and how to boost individual development.
